There’s lots for families to enjoy this spring at The Courtyard Playhouse, as the beloved theatre celebrates spring camps in Dubai with 10 years of Storytime.

Launching a brand-new interactive show, and welcomes young creatives to its much-loved Spring Camps inspired by children’s literature. If you’re looking for spring camps in Dubai that celebrate stories and creativity, this season at The Courtyard Playhouse marks a very special milestone: 10 YEARS OF STORYTIME. In December 2015, a young Marie Vercruyssen (now CEO of The Courtyard Playhouse) stepped onto the stage as Robin Hood, improvising stories with children for the very first time. What began as an experiment quickly became a Playhouse tradition. For the past decade, thousands of children, some as young as three, have experienced their very first live theatre show through Storytime. 

Storytime Shows This Spring

Storytime performances run on: 14 & 28 February at 11am & 14 March at 11am & 2pm

Each show is completely improvised and created from children’s ideas, making every performance a one-of-a-kind adventure. This spring also sees the arrival of an interactive Storytime show: Wand of Truth. The story follows two siblings who find a mysterious stick on an ordinary day, only to discover it has the power to make anything happen. In this playful and thought-provoking performance, the children in the audience help decide how the story unfolds.

Spring Camps

Starting 16 March | Early Bird discount available until 16 February

The Courtyard Playhouse’s popular Spring Camps return with a brand-new set of themes inspired by beloved children’s books. Through drama games, scene-building and ensemble work, children develop confidence, creativity and collaboration in a fun, supportive environment.

Camps run across two weeks:

• Week 1: 16–20 March
• Week 2: 23–27 March
